Dr Jessica Jones is currently the Senior Scientific Editor and Publisher for the Cambridge Prisms series. Jessica graduated with a PhD in Chemistry in 2016 from the University of Bath, UK, and continued to follow a career in academia publishing 18 academic papers before moving into the publishing sector. Jessica now has a vast amount of experience in launching and relaunching STM academic journals, particularly in engineering, materials, and earth science topic areas. Dr Jessica Jones is Publisher and Senior Scientific Editor at Cambridge University Press & Assessment in the UK. Dr Jones will present on the following topics: a) who are Cambridge University Press and what do we publish, including an introduction to a new series of open access journals addressing real world problems; the Cambridge Prisms b) How to publish in STM academic journals, including what occurs during peer review and publishing ethics c) The route from academia to a publishing career.
