报告人简介: Mauro Tonelli教授是比萨大学物理系“新材料激光应用”研究小组成员。他以激光晶体生长和应用而闻名,特别是碱金属卤化物晶体,掺杂稀土离子的氧化物和氟化物晶体。他在比萨大学物理系的研究团队🤲🏿,现已发展成为意大利唯一一家生长绝缘氟化物材料的机构。这种材料是世界上为数不多的可开发用于医疗,机械和激光应用的材料之一🙍🏽♂️,对于全固态光学制冷机尤为重要🪺。他还参加探测引力波Virgo项目🖐🏻,参与该项目中光学探测系统的建设🧑🏻🦽➡️。M. Tonelli教授在相关书籍和科学期刊上发表超过300多篇论文🙇🏻♂️,论文被引超过10538次。 报告内容: We developed high-quality single fluoride crystals by Czochralski technique. This activity covers different applications such as IR and visible laser, photovoltaic applications, solid state cryocooler, and Metrologic application. The active parts of these devices are insulator hosts containing fluorine doped with trivalent rare earths to cover by solid state laser the UV, visible and near infrared wavelength region. We have investigated the spectroscopic properties and laser emission in the 2 mm wavelength region for two particular materials: KY3F10 and SrF2 doped with Tm3+ and Ho3+, studying the slope efficiency and tunability. Also, we investigated LiYF4 crystal co-doped with Yb3+, Tm3+ and showed by FFT analysis the contribution of Tm3+ to cooling effect. This behavior has been studied on two sample with different Tm3+ doping level. Moreover, we investigated the development of mono-crystal fiber (SCF) by micro-Pd technique and, for the first time, we showed by a birefringent SCF doped with Yb3+ the possibility to develop high power amplifier. |
